Muncho Lake

Muncho Lake was the first stop on our adventure that truly felt like stepping into the wild. Imagine a breathtaking turquoise lake tucked away in the Northern Rockies, just as stunning as Banff and Jasper. Our campsite was right on the water, making it impossible not to soak in those vibrant colors every moment we were there.

The first day brought some rain, but we didn’t let that dampen our spirits. We grabbed our fishing gear and tried our luck at catching some lake trout. While we didn’t reel in any big ones, we did manage to catch a little guy from the shore, which felt like a victory!

When the clouds cleared the next day, we hit the Stone Sheep Trail for a hike, and it was just lovely. As evening rolled in, we went for a drive at sunset, and wow—what an experience! The sky exploded into a canvas of colors, and we couldn’t resist snapping tons of photos. We also squeezed in a short hike on the Mineral Lick Trail, capturing even more stunning shots along the way.

The following morning, we woke up ready for adventure. After a hearty breakfast, we set out for the Red Rock Canyon Trail. But here’s the twist: we had to cross a creek, which had transformed into a raging river after all the recent rain. Attempting that with kids in tow was a no-go, so we turned back after a couple of kilometers—definitely a wise decision, as the rain began pouring just as we reached the truck.

Once back, we decided to dive into the lake to freshen up since our campsite didn’t have showers. The water was ice-cold but so refreshing! We passed the time waiting for the rain to let up with a game of poker, and Josephine even took a kayak out for a little evening tour.

Muncho Lake was our last night in BC before we set off for the Yukon, and it was the perfect way to wrap up an unforgettable leg of our journey!

Munch Lake (Day 8)

昨晚一夜大风大雨，帐篷内却温暖舒适，每个人都睡的特别好！晨起，雨停时，坐在餐桌前，隔着纱窗看着湖景，一切是那么美好！

湖的周边有好几条徒步路线，非常容易，且一路风景秀丽。先去了名为“Stong sheep trail”,据说这是很多山羊喜欢聚集的地方，来回不过两个多小时的山路，当然我们没有爬到山顶。虽然山羊没看到，却收获了一路的美景，也是非常值了！

午后，天气阴转晴，风转小。正是时候，泛舟在这冰粉蓝色的湖面上，我们是一路划浆，一路赞叹，翻来覆去就两句话，“太美了，太漂亮了"

Munch Lake (Day 9)

晨起，坐在餐桌旁，喝着咖啡，看湖, 听雨！心情从来没有如此的轻松平静，对老公说，“我不想走了，就留在这，在这生活！” 哪怕没有水洗澡，也没关系😅 营地周围有很多野草莓，很多都挂了果，吃了一些，微甜。

几天没洗澡，每个人都感觉不舒服。于是，孩子爸建议大家跳到湖水里面稍微清洗一下。要知道现在温度只有11,12度，加上还是阴雨天气，湖水应该很冷。可是大家却都兴致昂然，想去试试！果不其然，湖水冰冷刺骨，洗完冰水澡，感觉到身体洁净舒爽，冷却舒服！
